Do you want to learn a fantastic math trick?
Learning Math can be both challenging and quite frustrating but there are ways to make Math simple and FUN to learn.

Here's how to multiply numbers from 11 to 19.

Let's take these numbers as an example.

12 x 18

where; 12 is called the multiplier and 18 is called the multiplicand

First, you need to add the multiplier (12) and get the digit with the highest value in multiplicand, in this case the multiplicand is 18 so we'll use 8

12 + 8 = 20

then add zero behind.

12 + 8 = 200

Next, Multiply the digits with the highest value from the multiplier and the multiplicand,

2 x 8 = 16

Add 200 + 16 = 216

Let's Practice!

14 x 15

14 + 5 = 19 add zero behind = 190

4 x 5 = 20

190 + 20 equals 210

BAIJI

The baiji also known as the "Goddess of the Yangtze" are found in Yangtze, China. It is a graceful fresh water dolphin with long beak that weighs around 300 up to 510 pounds. This marine mammal is already extinct.

CASSOWARY

Cassowaries are a large flightless bird that are known to be the "World's Most Dangerous Birds" by Guinness Book of Records. These volatile animal have the ability of dealing deadly strikes using its distinct claws. The estimate population of Cassowaries range from 1500 up to 10,000 and are found in Australia.

Pinta Island Tortoise

The giant tortoise of Galapagos Islands is the "World's Rarest Animal". The most popular and the only giant tortoise alive is Lonesome George which was found in 1971. George is approximately sixty to ninety years old. Giant tortoises are regarded as the longest living creatures having an average lifespan of 120 up to about 200 years.

WHITE-HEADED LANGUR

White-headed Langurs are the "World's Rarest Primates" from Guangxi, China as well as Cat Ba Island. They are significantly endangered because they are being used in making monkey balm, a traditional Chinese medicine to relieve external pain. There are about 59 Langurs left in Cat Ba Island and they are one of the 25 most endangered primates.

PLATYPUS

So it's really a must to have a checklist of safety precautions to avoid injuries.

Here are the things you should check when engaging into sports:

Before engaging yourself in any sports, it is best to visit your doctor first to check.

Always wear mouth guards, helmets, eye protection and other protective gear, appropriate to the sport you engage in. It is very important to wear the right size and it is correctly aligned.

Stones, fluids or holes in the athletic grounds should always be checked first before starting the game as well as the weather condition.

It's important to bring bottled water or sports drink to stay hydrated.

Remind your parents to turn off car's engine while waiting instead of letting it run.

Ride a bike or walk instead of using the car when going to short distances.

Carpool – By carpooling or taking public transportation we can help lessen air pollution.

Conserve water – turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth

What does etiquette and manners mean?

Etiquette is a code of conduct that describe the expectations for interpersonal behavior based on current conventional norms in a society. Basically – its the way we are supposed to act when we are around other people, especially your elders, teachers, and authority.

Manners are the unenforced standards of conduct which demonstrate that an individual is proper, polite, and refined. Manners is treating others how you want to be treated.

Even kids like YOU, can learn how to be polite and proper.

Here are few of the etiquette and manners kids should be aware of.

Don't go looking through other person's personal or private belongings without his or her permission including their diaries or love letters. This is a breach of privacy. We need to respect other peoples private space, even your brother or sisters and especially your moms and dads. Privacy is a basic human right. We need our privacy to become the best we can be. Somethings just aren't meant to be shared, read, seen, etc. Setting boundaries for your own privacy needs is important as well.

Family matters should be kept private and it is not nice to share it with others. What goes on in your own family shouldn't be shared with everyone on the block. HOWEVER, if you are being hurt, neglected or abused in any way, you need to tell someone in authority, a teacher, counselor, police officer. TELL SOMEONE!

Remember to knock and wait for the permission to enter when the door is closed

Your room and other personal things like towel are your responsibility. Do not expect others to clean it up for you. When you keep things put away then you can easily find them when you need them again. Letting dirty clothes and dishes pile up, invites bugs – keep a clean and tidy room at all times and you will have more time to play.

Always use the proper table manners like washing your hands before eating, don't stretch across the table, ask someone to pass what you need, don't talk when your mouth is full etc.

Don't make others feel embarrassed, always think how you would feel if you're in the same situation. It is also wrong to bully anyone.

Ask for permission anytime you need to borrow something and ensure you return it in same condition.

As courtesy to others, it is not good to eat on public transportation.

While in a public transport, always offer your seat to old people, pregnant women and handicapped person.

Allow people to exit the elevator first before entering.

Always put your trash into the garbage bin.

Turn your portable MP3 player or iPod's volume down so that other people won't hear the scratchy sound of your earphone.

Open the door for adults and make them pass through first.

Being polite will earn you respect and trust. These are valuable characteristics to a successful life.
